SoundBase Pro requires ports 8427 and 2202 to function properly.
If your computer has a firewall, you need to grant access to SoundBase Pro.
To configure the ports:
- Log in as an administrator to gain full access to your firewall settings.
- Alternatively, contact your IT administrator for help.
- For third-party firewall software, refer to the manufacturer's instructions for granting access to each instance of the application (there may be more than one instance).
If you receive an alert pop-up that blocks SoundBase Pro, check the boxes to allow access for all networks (Domain Networks, Private Networks, and Public Networks).
To grant access on macOS ARM & Intel:
- From System Preferences, access the firewall settings.
- If the firewall is on, open the Firewall Options to view the applications requesting network access.

For each of the following applications, select:
Automatically allow built-in software to receive incoming connections and
Automatically allow downloaded signed software to receive incoming connections:
snetDameon
SoundBase Pro.app
- Access on macOS ARM & Intel has been granted.
To grant access on Windows®:
- Open the Windows Firewall on your computer.
- Open the Windows Firewall on your computer.
- Place a check next to each instance of an application.
There may be more than one instance - for the following applications to allow access to Domain Networks, Private Networks, and Public Networks:
snetDaemon
SoundBase Pro
